AstroBAT is an ESA BIC Slovakia startup developing high-reliability Li-ion battery pack subsystem with Intelligent BMS electronics for LEO missions. Project initiated early 2026 — ESA BIC incubation started mid-2026.
We are developing radiation-tolerant Li-ion battery pack subsystem with intelligent BMS electronics for Low-Earth Orbit, or other mission-critical applications. DIOO (Deliver Integrated power On Orbit) is our proprietary battery pack project — currently in active development. Project initiated early 2026, ESA BIC incubation starting mid-2026. Supported by the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre Slovakia (ESA BIC grant awarded April 2026).
Concept Render — of the DIOO battery packDesigned for LEO radiation & thermal extremes
BMS electronics design for space applications, hardened against the South Atlantic Anomaly. Passive thermal design handles the 90-minute hot/cold cycle of LEO orbit.
Integrated BMS with fault detection & telemetry
Cell-level monitoring, active balancing, redundant protection circuits, and real-time telemetry output for spacecraft OBC integration.
Qualification-ready architecture for CubeSats & smallsats
ESA-guided TRL roadmap. Developed under ESA BIC incubation with a structured path to vibration, thermal-vacuum, and radiation qualification.
